The card+PIN proximity reader is a member of the Pyramid reader family; cards and key fobs are HID-compatible. Industrially, it is one of Keri's most innovative access products, combining a stainless steel cipher keypad with a Pyramid proximity reader.
The P-600 and P-6** require both an authorized card and a PIN to enter a controlled passage. They are compatible with most vendors' access systems. The P-600's proximity reader outputs the standard industrial WIEGAND format. Its keypad shares the data line with the reader and provides two standard WIEGAND formats: 8-Bit Burst and 26-Bit Wiegand. The P-6** is a special version designed specifically for Keri's PXL-**W controller, requiring card + PIN dual verification, with each PIN mapped to a 26-bit card number. The P-600 and P-6** have four status LEDs (red, **, yellow, off) and an audible beep, plus self-diagnostics and data-line testing. They come in black and gray-white to suit any office.
The P-600 and P-6** run on 5-14 VDC, reach a read range of 10.2cm and draw 90mA. For flexible power, they are usually powered directly by the access controller. The reader is sealed against vandalism and outdoor weather. Its dimensions are 99 x 112 x 24mm. It is compact and attractive, and looks better in an office than competing readers. Keri offers a complete Pyramid reader family, interchangeable with the P-600 and P-6**, including the lifetime-warranty PSC-1 proximity card, the printable PSM-2 multi-technology ISO thin card with magnetic stripe, and the PSK-3 key-fob card.

Note:
1. At 12VDC supply, the read range reaches its maximum in a clean RF/electromagnetic environment; the range for tags and multi-technology cards is smaller.
