SiPass Integrated Advanced Central Controller (ACC)
An essential component of any security system is the controller
As the main hardware component of the access control system and security network, the controller¡¯s primary function is to secure the building. Because it must make real-time decisions on countless access requests, the controller has to be reliable, stable and durable. This Advanced Central Controller (ACC) delivers all of these qualities.
The Advanced Central Controller (ACC) is a high-performance on-site console for access control and security systems. The ACC installed in the system is a key part of Siemens¡¯ integrated access control and security solution. The ACC supports multiple access control and security applications on a single console; the access management system can support up to 64 doors and 1,000,000 cardholders. Operating independently of the host system, the ACC processes all events on site. This ensures system security even in the rare event of a communication failure between the system and the host. At the same time, because the controller can grant secure access without waiting for the host¡¯s entry decision, processing speed is **d. When a cardholder tries to enter, the ACC receives the cardholder¡¯s information from the Reader Interface Module (RIM) connected to it. The ACC then verifies the information; if the cardholder has been granted the appropriate permission, the ACC allows the secure door to open.
The ACC communicates with the host through an onboard **MB Ethernet port. All communication over this Ethernet link is secured
