125 kHz Standalone Proximity Card Reader
Overview
HID's EntryProx standalone card reader delivers true standalone operation. The EntryProx is compatible with all HID proximity cards and key fobs, providing single-door proximity access control that is ideal for a wide range of applications. Designed to be weatherproof and vandal-resistant, the reader can be installed indoors or outdoors up to 10 feet away from the control unit using a detachable antenna module. This versatile and attractive unit can be easily converted into an online reader by switching to Wiegand output mode, allowing it to connect to any OEM controller and provide card and PIN output.
The reader comes with an ADA-compliant 12-position keypad featuring large, high-contrast black-on-white numerals (for PIN entry or programming), optional audio feedback, and a raised bump on the 5 key. For enhanced security, the EntryProx keypad incorporates an "invalid PIN" lockout function to prevent unauthorized or repeated erroneous PIN entry.
The reader also speeds up programming, allowing end users to batch-load up to 2,000 HID cards or key fobs (any format up to 37 bits) by entering a single keypad command sequence. Its block-delete function supports deleting a continuous range of cards/key fobs from the EntryProx at the user site, enabling efficient badge management.
