The NT12 is a configurable 2-door or 4-door access control controller that can be used standalone or as part of an integrated access control system. Even without an AdvaNTage or AdvaNTage Lite workstation, the NT12 can independently handle all events, ensuring system independence if communication is interrupted. The controller can verify cardholder privileges, which makes the system respond faster because the controller does not need to wait for a decision from the access control software. The NT12 controller can check every cardholder who attempts to enter the door; once it has verified the cardholder's details and the cardholder has been assigned the corresponding privileges, the NT12 access control controller will unlock the door to allow entry.

Benefits
The NT12 supports up to 99 time zones and 32 holidays. Entry is granted only when the cardholder enters a PIN or presents an access card, or both.
The NT12 can operate in two modes. One is the two-door mode, used for high-traffic areas to control two doors (card capacity **,000), or one door with two readers for entry and exit. The other is the four-door mode, used for access control in low-traffic areas (card capacity **,000).
The NT12 can also be set to monitor the number of cars entering/exiting a parking area. If the parking lot is full, time-based tasks with specific functions can be executed (for example, displaying a "Parking Lot Full" signal).
For small sites (where multiple access controllers are not needed), the NT12 can be connected directly to the serial port of a host PC (or even a laptop) using a standard RS232 interface instead of the RS485 communication interface. The NT12 can also be connected directly to a modem for remote access control, or operate standalone offline.
