The CX2M reading head is a user-friendly magnetic-stripe access management control reader with a polycarbonate housing. When a card is scanned, it reads the magnetic stripe and converts it into clock and data signals in standard ISO format. The CX2M can accept both high-coercivity and low-coercivity cards, and can be used as part of the Landis & Staefa distributed access management system. The LED indicator (controlled by the card reader processor) displays one of three colors according to the cardholder's assigned access privileges: ** = valid, red = invalid or no read, yellow = misread.

Functions
The three-color LED indicator is located at the upper-right corner of the reader and is controlled by the card reader processor.
It usually displays one of three colors according to access status: ** = valid, red = invalid or no read, yellow = misread
Installation Details
The CX2M magnetic stripe reader is connected to the RIM, or to a card reader processor unit via a 6-core 7/0.20 shielded cable.
Ensure the cable length does not exceed 10m, and the shield is properly grounded to the enclosure or housing of the card reader processor device or RIM.
