How to Identify Genuine and Counterfeit Panasonic Ruidi Automatic Door Operators
Stay principled, and insist on **!
Here are the details of the main components of the Panasonic Ruidi series operator unit, teaching you how to spot authenticity at a glance — counterfeiters always miss at least one of them.
Take out your notepad — ** let's begin the lesson.
Figure 1
The sensor housing is evenly coated with fluorocarbon paint (the ** of the fluorocarbon paint affects the sensitivity of the microwave sensor and can cause false activation); the Panasonic silk-screened lettering is crisp, and the indicator-light window is smooth and not raised (counterfeits usually have a raised rim around the window).
Figure 2
The Panasonic ** lettering on the front of the controller housing is clearly stamped. The expansion-port connectors on the side are neatly arranged, and there is a dedicated Panasonic commissioning-handle port similar to a network port (cruder fakes usually lack this).
Figure 3
Inside the new Ruidi sensor, in addition to the sensitivity adjustment, there is an added potentiometer (anti-interference adjustment), with a red DIP switch above the two blue potentiometers.
Figures 4 and 5

There is an identical, ** batch number both below the motor and on the front of the microcomputer controller, proving that the unit has not been assembled from mismatched parts.
Figure 6
The power-switch terminal block has neat, clearly arranged wiring. The switch is a white toggle switch (counterfeits usually use a red switch with a light).
Figure 7
The hanger unit has clearly cast Panasonic lettering on top; the anti-falling screw uses a two-o'clock angled-slot design (counterfeits use a detachable design).
Figure 8
The belt fixing device: for the bracket commonly called the short-foot part, Panasonic places the belt clip on the left, with three screw holes for the locking plate below. (On counterfeits the belt clip usually faces right and has no screw holes.)
Figure 9
The center belt fixing device. This itself is a tell: if you cannot find it inside a Ruidi series double-door unit, I guarantee you bought a fake!
