DORMA Automatic Doors (DORMA Sensor Door)Operator authenticity identification method - taught by Shanghai Zitin
How to identify genuine vs. counterfeit DORMA ES-series automatic sliding door operators
Counterfeiters have recently launched highly realistic fake DORMA ES-series automatic door operators on the market, distributed across major provinces **, seriously damaging the reputation and interests of DORMA products.
To help customers recognize DORMA automatic doors and detect fakes early, we provide a genuine-vs-counterfeit comparison and identification guide for the five main DORMA-branded components in the ES series (control board, motor, transformer, sensor and program switch):
1. DORMA ES 90 Easy control board - genuine vs. counterfeit

On-site verification steps:
1. Scratch off the anti-counterfeiting label on the control board and verify authenticity by phone; record the barcode information on the control board and motor for internal checking by the product manager.
2. Take clear digital photos including (1) the front and bottom of the control board with close-ups of the anti-counterfeiting label, barcode and production-month label; (2) the Dunkermotoren **, barcode and DORMA sticker on the motor; (3) the DORMA ** on the transformer.
3. Where possible, pry open the sensor casing and photograph the internal electronic components.
4. Send the relevant information and photos to DORMA brand maintenance specialist Jason Xu and DORMA automatic door product manager Jason Ren.
Notes:
(1) When verifying authenticity, if a purple "DORMA Product Anti-Counterfeiting Label" is affixed to the operator component (old versions came in red and purple), scratch off the coating to obtain the 16-digit security code, then follow the label's instructions to verify via phone (4008155888), SMS (12114) or website (http://www.t3315.com/).
(2) When running the digital verification on a "DORMA Product Anti-Counterfeiting Label", a "genuine" response is not by itself sufficient proof; the operator components must still be carefully inspected and photographed. We have found counterfeiters carefully peeling genuine (old-version) anti-counterfeiting labels off lower-priced DORMA hardware products and re-applying them to automatic door control boards and motors. Other counterfeiters use forged labels that also show a 16-digit code when scratched, but the phone, SMS and website on the label do not match the genuine label; because verification runs through the counterfeiters' own "query platform", unsuspecting customers mistakenly ** the DORMA product they bought is genuine.
(3) As manufacturing processes **, the features and versions of genuine DORMA products will continue to evolve; the genuine-product photos shown here are for reference only. If you have questions about a product version when judging authenticity, please consult automatic door product manager Jason Ren.
(4) If a new counterfeit ES-series version is found in day-to-day work, please share photos with Jason Xu so the company can continually ** its authentication methods.
